Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a study and a full project?

A study answers a specific question and ends in a document. A full project includes design, construction documents and support through construction, with fees set by the CFIA fee schedule.

How much does a study cost?

Each study is quoted according to its scope, the size of the site and the information available.

Do I need plans of the building?

They are not essential. If they exist we use them as a starting point. If not, we work from the site visit and photos.

Can a study become a project?

Yes. The document becomes an input for the schematic design, the construction documents and the construction work.
